Honda Car India has launched their premium hatchback in the BS6 avatar. The Honda Jazz BS6 in its 2020 avatar starts from 7.49 lakhs, ex-showroom.
The Honda Jazz continues to be propelled by the same old 1.2L i-Vtec petrol motor but now with the BS6 update.
It continues to churn out the same figures – 90PS and 110 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as well as an optional Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) unit.
Honda has dropped the 1.5L i-Dtec diesel motor from the Jazz with the BS6 update and will be available only with the Petrol option.
In the exterior, the new Jazz gets subtle updates out in the front and rear bumper, grille design, and some extra features.
Adding to the aesthetics and convenience of the New Jazz is the DIGIPAD 2.0 – an advanced infotainment system that offers seamless and smart connectivity.
The 17.7 cm Advanced Touchscreen Audio, Video, and Navigation system comes with seamless smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, newly introduced Weblink, and a host of advanced functionality like Voice Command, Messages, Bluetooth Handsfree Telephony & Audio, and Wireless Infrared Remote.
One feature that is an addition to the premium Japanese hatchback is, a SUNROOF. Yes, the Honda Jazz BS6 gets the Indian automotive industry’s new normal.
It is noteworthy that the Jazz is the only premium hatchback to offer a Sunroof in this segment, similar to the Honda City which introduced the trend of Sunroof in the sedans.
Safety features include Standard Dual Front SRS Airbags, ABS with EBD, Multi-View Rear Camera with Guidelines, Rear Parking Sensor, Driver Side Window One-touch up/down operation with pinch guard, Impact Mitigating Front Head Rests, Immobilizer anti-theft system, Pedestrian Injury mitigation technology amongst others.

The New Jazz will be available with a choice of 5 colour options – Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and Golden Brown Metallic.
The New Honda Jazz offers complete peace of mind with 3 years Unlimited Kilometres warranty as a standard benefit to the customer. Additionally, customers can opt for an Extended Warranty for an additional two years Unlimited / Limited kilometers for extra peace of mind.
