The Ducati Multistrada was already an amazing adventure tourer with its incredible off-roading capabilities and it was in the market in Ducati Multistrada 950 and Ducati Multistrada 1260 and they had their “s” versions respectively as well. Now the all-new Ducati Multistrada V4 is launched and it packs a punch to the existing Multistrada. It is a one-off kind motorcycle with the capability to take over all terrains, be it off the roads or on the asphalt. The new Ducati Multistrada V4 not only retains but also improves the “four in one bike” formula and with the V4 variant, Ducati wants the Multistrada to be unrivaled.

The Design

The shape of the new Ducati Multistrada V4 makes is very clear that is meant for pure off-roading purposes. There is perfect integration between the front and the rear radar system into the lines of the bike and wide surfaces are smoothly placed to make the Multistrada V4 more aerodynamic and an innovative chassis system which makes the bike more aesthetic and sturdy.

The front headlamps are embodied with a DRL system which is inspired by the Ducati Panigale giving it a sporty appeal. The muscular front of the Multistrada V4 has integrated lines with making it aesthetically pleasing and it also holds a 22-liter fuel tank. The front catches up well with the sleek rear of the bike which gives a perfect position while off-roading. The Multistrada V4 also features small aerodynamic appendages to help reduce the heat to the driver’s leg and provided phenomenal thermal comfort.

The Powerhouse

The Ducati Multistrada V4 holds an extremely light and really compact 170 horse churning 1158cc V4 GT engine which produces 125Nm of torque.

The engine delivers maximum smoothness and power delivery even at maximum power. The change is seen in the valve system as the Desmodromic valves have been replaced with the spring valve system which made the record-breaking 60,000 kilometers valve check interval possible.

The engine of the new Multistrada V4 has a smooth delivery in low range while its torque-rich mid-range and shows an extremely aggressive character in the high range. The 6-speed transmission is designed in such a manner that the gear ratio is highly concentrated to make the maneuvering at low speeds, uphill starts and long highway tours.

The Electronics

When it comes to electronics, there is no doubt that Ducati never makes a single compromise. Ducati claims to present the state-of-art electronics in the new Ducati Multistrada V4 which enhances safety, performance, comfort and connectivity.

The bike features The Inertial Platform that manages the ABS Cornering, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control, The Ducati Cornering Lights, Vehicle Hold Control and Ducati Skyhook Suspension system which analysis the terrain conditions and instantly adjusts the hydraulics of the fork and shock absorbers instantly.

The Autoleveling function recognizes the load levels on the bike and adjusts the bike into the following settings: Rider only, Rider with Luggage, Rider with Passenger or Rider with Passenger and Luggage. The Multistrada V4 also boasts an enhanced 5 inch TFT Colour display,  a revolutionary radar system to use the Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Fold Detection to make the motorcycle even safer and comfortable while making no compromise on the performance.

The Multistrada V4 is ready to challenge the likes of the Triumph Tiger 1200 and the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure in the Indian Adventure Tourer market.
