Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd. have made a grand entrance into the 180-200cc motorcycle market today with all the latest rugged, sporty and modern Hornet 2.0. Conceived as an International Street Fighter, its versatility, complemented by a variety of sophisticated technologies, is reflected in its interface codes, whereas the ‘Built to Perform”‘ atitude shows a sense of maturity.
Honda 2 Wheelers have attractively priced the Hornet 2.0 at Rs. 126,345 ex-showroom Gurugram (Haryana).
Honda Hornet 2.0 gets a 184 cc PGM-FI HET (Honda Eco Technology) engine. Honda says that the PGM-Fi system uses 8 onboard sensors to constantly inject optimum fuel and air mixture to provide greater performance and superior efficiency.
Though Honda 2 Wheelers haven’t officially provided the peak horsepower figure yet, we expect it to be around 17 PS because this seems to be the same motor that propels the Honda CBF 190 R. That bike produces 16.3 Nm of torque and the Hornet 2.0’s peak torque figure is marginally less at 16.1 Nm. The company also claims that the Hornet 2.0’s 0-200 m acceleration time is 11.25 seconds.
It is the first motorcycle in its class to receive a USD fork. However, it’s not the only sub-200cc motorcycle that has it; it’s also the KTM Duke 125.
Honda also adds that the instrument cluster now gets a gear position indicator, service due indicator, and battery voltmeter, among other information that it displays.

To ensure the utmost sense of control while taking on the streets, it is equipped with Dual, Petal Disc Brakes with single-channel ABS. The mono-shock rear suspension gives an excellent riding experience while cornering and provides supreme stability.
As another industry first, Honda will also be offering a special 6-year warranty package(3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) on the Hornet 2.0 .
The new Hornet 2.0 will be available in four stunning colors – Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic.
