Mahindra XUV300 is a product of Mahindra which has been the most awaited since its unveiling or revealing at for the first time by Mahindra, Infect even before that.

And after giving such an excellent car like Mahindra XUV500 or the Mahindra Marzano, Mahindra has proved to Indian Automobile market that Yes, Mahindra Rise, and its rising towards the best future not only in the brand’s aspects but also in terms of consumer satisfaction.

Being a SsangYong Tivoli Based SUV, Mahindra XUV300 has indeed fulfilled the expectations of its potential buyers who were eagerly waiting for its official launch.

For the very first time, when the car came to me, I have told my viewers to kindly hold your planning for the purchase or booking any other SUV until I give you the complete review of this amazing SUV.

By posting a story on Incredible Autoz official handle in Instagram, I have also asked you if you have any questions, and because of the number of questions I have received, I was kind of surprised.

And I was eager to provide all your answers that I found during my test of this car.

So here is the complete review of XUV300 along with all its specifications, Dimensions, Pricing and on paper specification comparisons with its rivals like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport.  

So I have highlighted all the important points for you to take a note of it.

As you already know that either I give you complete details or simply I don’t. So this review is going to be the longer one.

After Mahindra TUV300’s not so successful story, Mahindra was in clear mood to provide the products which was highly capable and comparable when it comes to competition with its rivals.

Talking practically, we will know about how its fully eligible to beat rivals.

Let’s start with design and find out how Exterior & Style of the Mahindra XUV 300 Actually looks to human Eye.

And the Front part itself looks unique wit the Signature Mahindra grill, Sharp and aggressive looking Headlights, Big heavy looking sporty bumper and the LED DRLs with first of its kind unique teardrop design.

Same goes to the sides which has large 17” Alloys and character linings which extends till rear from up and above rear wheel arch in the bottom.

Also take a not of the class leading largest wheel base of the segment which sports the looks and functionalities. The slanted roof and the rails also give it an edge to the overall side appearance.

Talking about the rear, there aren’t that flashy kind of elements and those 80’s kind of Rockstar elements attached which down the line after some usage tear down or make a good (or bad) rhythm on little bit of vibrations.

The LED tail lights looks magnificent itself.

Now let’s step into the Interior portion of the XUV300 and have a look how’s it.

So the very first thing youll notice as soon as you step into the interior is the quality of the materials used in the interior are way beyond the expectations of the customers.

Yes, As I mentioned above, the Tivoli based SUV has a bunch of first in segment features and equipment’s on offer.

 The plastic, the leather and the switch gears used are made of good quality. This is the point which many brands fail to provide just to save some bucks and increase their margin ratio.

Alright, Now I hope you might be clear with the difference in all the variants of the XUV300.

These were the things which you can find it on the brochure but, as you know me, I find and give you some information that only mentioned in my videos and article and here they are:

  1. You will get all the benefits of its longest wheelbase in its segment in the interior space.
  2. The seats are one of the most comfortable seats I had ever been on and driven any SUV of its class.
  3. The fit and finish and the material quality is outstanding to say something.
  4. From the driver’s seat, because of the higher seating position you’ll get to know what a confident driving is.
  5. Although the rear seats are also comfortable, the ingress and aggress can be an issue with the 6 feeters and heavyweight wrestlers.
  6. I wish Boot space could have been given a preference too. As there are many free individual travellers in our country who loves travelling long distances with all their essential luggage.

Looking at the features list mentioned above, we can easily find out all the first in class and best in the segment features that this SUV is loaded with.

To name some, the top spec model ie. W8(O) has 7 airbags including front side and knee airbags, so you don’t need to worry about the safety of your family and friends.

The Dual zone climate-controlled ac which also packs the memory functions will allow you to set the temperature preferences of you and your beloved ones.

7” Infotainment will help you to get the best possible entertainment along with all the required information that you will surely need during your long journeys.

Front parking sensors will guide you to park your car in congested narrow parking spaces.

The heated wing mirrors will now not let the fog or moisture to create their place in the most important portion of your car.

It has a disk brakes on all four wheels, I know its not new, but its highly important at the same time.  Afterall you’ll need a good confident braking with less stopping distance.

To get the most out of your journey, you also have a panoramic sunroof.

Another important feature is the hill hold control that will help you to climb hills in bumper to bumper traffic with an ease of driving further in the front direction only.

Believe me readers, these are just a few points that I had mentioned in the list.

The car I have driven was with the Diesel engine, and keep this post in your browser bookmark bar because as soon as I will drive the petrol one, I will update this post.

I know that you can have a look at the engine specs and dimensions from anywhere, so here are the points that you wont get to know from anywhere as these are complketely mine. Just Look at the power and torque figures, The engine is derived from marazzo and it feels like driving one too.

The car simply start taking you off as soon as you shift the first gear and remove your foot from the clutch and the 115 Bhp Power and 300 NM of torque wont let your expectations of any SUV down right from the beginning.

Yes, right near around 1500 RPM youll get all the required push and it goes upto 2500 RPM and little more beyond that.

This nature of this engine will help you in driving into the bumper to bumper traffic as well as in the high tensions quick acceleration while taking those overtakes on highways.

Around and above 3500 RPM the engine feels steady and youll start hearing its struggle, that’s exactly where youll need to remove your feet from accelerator as there is no reason to keep the engine revving.

The engine feels so refined but yes, you will surely listen the noice after that extra revving in lower gears, But it wont disturb you as its not at all too noisy.

I really don’t get disappointment in my city and highway’s mixed driving of around 500 KMS from Ahmedabad (Guj.) to Mount Abu (Raj.) and back.

The route where I have tested the XUV300 includes almost all types of surfaces, It includes rough roads, Plain smooth highways and a hill incline and decline too, and the article you are reading is an output of all those mixed experience.

The only thing that I found might be a problem to the new drivers will its long shifting gears, but once you get used to it, it’ll feel like a piece of cake for you. As almost all Mahindra cars that comes standard with these long throw gear shifts.

There are 3 steering modes given for your convenience, Normal, Comfort and sports. Where normal is pretty normal, comfort mode makes the steering little too soft and the sport mode makes it easy to feel like a hard sports machine. I like sports mode out of all.

Talking about the suspensions, I would say that yes, they are on the stiffer side. But on regular potholes and bumps you wont get any irritating jerks inside.

As soon as you start driving it on very rough and uneven roads, you will start noticing its stiffness. But the amount of very less body roll is better than having a too soft suspension, Right?

I was driving the Top spec W8(O) and I was feeling like I have a lot of features that I will need atleast a day to use and understand its usage in my day-to-day requirements. You should now understand what I mean.

I believe that as far as you don’t need 7 Airbags, which in my opinion is highly important but your usage did’nt require them, you should always select the lower variants ie. W6.

The W6 has everything that youll ever need in the daily usages. I kind of know how customers do these mistakes of buying a top spec models even if they really don’t require.

Afterall I have more than 9+ years of Automobile Sales Experience and I have served almost thousands of customers in my entire career.

That’s the reason I know that at this point what are you thinking..

If I am not wrong , you must be thinking about the competition, and let me tell you, you are reading an article of Incredible autoz and it should be incredible..

As soon as you think about the rivals, The cars (SUVs) like Tata Nexon, Ford Ecosport, Hyundai Creta will start flashing in your mind and than someone from your known sources will come and tell you that stop doing all these and buy a Brezza (ZDI).

XUV300 is having an edge in the dimensions department as it offers a widest width and a longest wheelbase in its segment, and both the figures are very important in many aspects like space and handling.

But there is lack of space in boot and the fuel tank, this can result you to think if you are a frequent traveller of your own car for road trips.

Tyres are by far the better one compared to its rivals which can provide you that extra grip and confidence in sharp turns.

The Ford wins in the petrol department with two different engine options and a handful (Bonnetful) of power and torque figures with 1.0L Ecoboost and 1.5L Naturally aspirated.

There is no auto transmission as of now, but there are news that Mahindra will bring an AMT in some time and the torque converted will also follow lateron.

As I mentioned in the video, Fuel efficiency os only a key factor for Brezza to atleast stay in the competition.

Features and equipments are the biggest highfives and usp’s of the XUV300 here as you can see that the rivals are still lacking in some of the features that it has on offer.

I know if you are my incredible viewer and reader, the features, fuel efficiency and other factors like aftersales and resale wont effect you much.

Your No.1 Priority is safety and it should be. So let me tell you Ecosport is the only SUV that you can list here in the comparison chart with XUV300.

Still ecosport lacks in some kits like 7 VS 6 Airbags, 4 Vs 2 Disk brakes but trust me Ecosport will never let you down in terms of safety and build quality.

Same is the case with Tata Nexon as its proven that Tata has not left anything behind where there is a concern of safety and saving lives. The only 5* safe SUV here in the list is the one and only Tata Nexon.

There are still many points to discuss and I know you will surely ask me before finalizing your next purchase, these are the points that you will require to ask me further questions.

Here is the final verdict from me, or let’s say a conclusion:

Being a smart consumer, and my Incredible reader what I personally expect from you is you take a test drive of three SUVs ie. Ecosport, Nexon, and XUV300 (Not in any order).
